PostBox by Postmark’d Studio is a new subscription box that features artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe.
Each box will include 4 greeting cards, 1 postcard, postage stamps, and a fun artsy item such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack based on that month’s particular theme. The cards are all handcrafted by a variety of different artists/companies, which means you’ll get a nice sampling of unique designs to send to your friends and loved ones.

Let’s see what’s in the July 2017 PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a sturdy envelope with a Postmark’d Studio sticker in the corner.
A peek inside! — All of the cards were stacked together and secured in place with a string.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for July — whales! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them. There were also some cute whale puns to use in your notes. (I totally didn’t notice the greeting — “Whalecome” — until just now. Ha! Love it.)
“Whale Hello” August & Oak/Charlotte, NC
This sweet card features an adorable whale illustration with the words “Whale Hello” printed above it. It’s blank inside for your own personalization and comes with a kraft envelope. August & Oak are a husband and wife team who use their original illustrations and turn them into greeting cards and other paper products.
“Herman the Whale” Reyn Paper Company/Atlanta, GA
Herman the Whale wants to wish you a happy birthday! The die cut window on this card allows you to see Herman, but his message isn’t revealed until you open it up. Inside, he’s wishing the recipient a happy birthday in a metallic gold foil bubble. What a thoughtful whale he is.
“Whale, Whale, Whale, What Do We Have Here?” Kelly Shields/Cincinnati, OH
Haha! I love the tiny mustaches and top hats on these dapper lil’ whales. Plus, the pun itself is pretty darn cute. I’m thinking this letterpress card would be perfect for welcoming a newborn baby boy.
“Having a Whale of a Time” Noteworthy Paper & Press/Missoula, MT
As you can see here, realistic-looking whales are a lot less cute than cartoony ones. Still, this card is definitely unique and would be really fun to receive in the mail. It’s hand drawn and printed on cotton paper using an antique press.
“Whale, Congrats” Man vs. George/Milwaukee, WI
Printed on 100% recycled paper, this whimsical card features a big gray whale surrounded by a school of orange fish with the word “Congrats” floating above him. The design continues onto the back of the card and it’s blank on the inside. A bright orange envelope complements the card nicely.
Postage
I love that they include postage! There were 4 forever stamps, along with one postcard stamp — 5 in all — for each of the cards.
Stabilo Point 88 Pen
This pen features non-smudging, water-based ink that can sustain long cap-off time. It has blue ink that dries quickly and a hexagon shape to keep it from rolling.
Postmark’d Studio Postcard
Though not listed on the info card, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included.
I was really impressed with all of the fun whale-themed cards in July’s PostBox. Also, I’m a sucker for a good pun. I really appreciate that they include postage for mailing the cards too! Overall, a fun subscription for fans of unique stationery.
