Bluum June 2017 Pre-K Subscription Box Review & Coupon Code

It’s June 2017 bluum unboxing time!

If you’re not aware, bluum (yes, with a lowercase b) is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains four or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so there are many variations in the boxes that are sent in each shipment. (I don’t think I’ve seen any two boxes that were exactly the same.)

Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.

Subscriptions are $34/month or less with multi-month commitments. For a limited time, you can save 30% on your first month with coupon code “BABY30OFF!

My girls are currently 57 months old (remember — they go by months), so the bluum box I received was geared towards a 58 month (4 year old) child.

Let’s see what’s in my June 2017 bluum box!

The familiar red box!

A peek inside!

Usually there’s an insert indicating the current month and age range of your child, but mine was left out this time. Once your box is delivered, you’ll be able to log in to your account and view a list of its contents on their site.

Silikids Siliskin Glasses ($19.19, Amazon)

These neat glasses are encased in a shock absorbing silicone protective sleeve (a siliskin), giving added protection to the actual glass inside. They have an easy grip design and are microwave & dishwasher safe. Each glass holds 6 ounces of liquid and won’t absorb odors or mold like plastic cups. They’re also BPA free and hypoallergenic.

Stephen Joseph Horse Dress-Up On-the-Go Magnetic Game ($7.99, Amazon)

An easy activity for on-the-go, this set includes 2 double-sided horse pictures with over 30 magnetic pieces to decorate them with, along with a storage tin. There were no instructions provided, so I assume that you just put one of the horses inside the metal lid and then place the magnets where you wish (they’ll stick to the horse via the metal). My girls already opened this and had fun playing with all the magnet pieces. — They especially like the “purple F” in the bottom right corner of the photo above.

Yorba Organics Family Hand Wash ($11.95)

A 100% natural, non-toxic hand wash that’s safe for the whole family. It’s infused with wild harvested baobab fruit extract that cleanses the skin and leaves it feeling soft. The formula is vegan-friendly and free of triclosan, parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulfated surfactants, petrochemicals, synthetic colors, and other harmful ingredients.

Playtown Emergency Lift-the-Flap Book ($8.60, Amazon)

While my girls do love books, this one seemed a little young for my almost 5 year olds. It’s nicely designed though, with plenty of colorful illustrations and fun “lift the flaps” throughout. I’m probably going to hold onto it for the girls’ cousin who’s turning 2 this summer.

Aside from the board book, I was pretty happy with everything in my June bluum box. The glasses will certainly be put to use, my girls already like the magnet game, and we can never have too much hand soap.  The total value (using Amazon prices) was just under $48, which is about $14 over the monthly subscription cost. Not bad!

Remember — if you’d like to sign up for bluum, you can save 30% on your first month with coupon code “BABY30OFF“!
