Every season carries different weather conditions that can affect your Skin. When it’s too hot, you sweat, when it’s cold, your skin can get dry. This means you need to take care of your skin accordingly if you want to keep it healthy and feel comfortable.

With fall here soon, you need to start thinking about adapting your skin care to the lower temperature, wind, and humidity. After so many sunny days, your skin is dehydrated and damaged so it's time to revive it. With some of the following advice, you will be able to restore the freshness of your skin and also protect it from the fall weather.

Exfoliate

Moisturizers can’t help your skin if it’s covered in dead cells, meaning you need to exfoliate. Besides the face, you can exfoliate the whole body with sea salt scrub mixed with some lavender oil. On the other hand, you can buy some of the products available on the market, just make sure they are not too aggressive.

It’s time for richer moisturizer

When the weather turns cooler, it is time to switch your lighter moisturizer for a richer one. Ingredients like jojoba oil, Shea butter, and olive oil will be perfect for your skin. The richer lotion will stop moisture to evaporate and so keep your skin hydrated.

Another way to help your skin stay moisturized is by using a humidifier which can also emit a scent thanks to essential oils. Heating will dry out the air and your skin will feel the consequences inside your home as well. So, with a richer moisturizer and humidifier, you will keep your skin in perfect shape during the colder seasons.

Look for products with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is not only reserved for cosmetic treatments and you should use products with it to keep your skin radiant. It is a great hydrating element in products which is naturally found in our skins. This means that even people with the most sensitive skin can use it won’t cause any reactions.

And the best thing about hyaluronic acid is that it has anti-aging properties and it will help you keep those fine lines in check. However, not all products with hyaluronic acid may be good for you, so always pay attention to your age and skin type.

Take care of your feet

You've spent the summer walking in sandals and your feet are dryer than usual. Even though you spend regular time at the pedicure’s, you still need to rejuvenate your soles for the fall. Start by soaking your fit in the apple cider foot bath and don’t forget to add Vitamin E.

Add some almond oil for the hydration or tea tree oil as an antibacterial agent. Put the foot cream on every night before you go to sleep since the socks and shoes will dry out your feet. At least once a week, rub your feet to get the blood flowing and prevent the swelling.

Don’t forget water

Water will keep your skin radiant and keep it healthy, and that is only some of the reasons why you need to drink 6-8 glasses a day. You need to take a holistic approach to water as well since it will fuel your body from within. But if you are one of those people who drink water only when thirsty, try herbal teas, like green tea or chamomile to boost the taste.

In the end

When it comes to your skin, you need to know how it behaves in different weather and which products to use. End of summer is a perfect time to prepare your skin for fall by switching products and changing care routine. However, always wear products with SPF factor since the sun can affect your skin even during less sunny months.
