Pocket: Keep Your World in Your Pocket
There’s a cool app called Pocket (www.getpocket.com) that does what you’ll put to use- Save Tweets, Facebook Posts, Web Pages, Articles and every other thing on the web into better, cleaner, minimal-styled content. Pocket defines it as “When you find something you want to view later, put it in Pocket.” You might have got the crux of what this actually is, and you’ll know more if you read on. Read on in it. :)
Here’s how it works- You install the app on your Mac, Opera web browsr(as an extension), Chrome Web browser(as an extension), iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, as a Web App(i.e. access it on the web without any smartphone or Chrome web browser), Windows Mobile, WebOS, s60 or Blackberry. Phew. Then you create a web account on www.getpocket.com from the app/extension. Now all you save (go to www.getpocket.com/add/and click on the respective links for the respective OS) goes there at www.getpocket.com/queue stays there until you mark it as read or delete it. Easy huh?
What’s more, you can now even Send the articles/links to your friends via email. You can also share or tweet them via Facebook or Twitter, or you can simply “Buffer” them (http://www.bufferapp.com) to share them to all social networks at once. You can also email links to it to save them for future access. It’s also integrated in about 393 apps for ease of use. That’s good!
