A Humble Prayer

People talk about World Peace− great leaders from various respectable countries take part in Summits and meetings to promote world peace and bring about greater good among the countries. I, however, feel that such summits and meetings are, if not useless− which they are absolutely not − lacking in an area where the world should progress more− realization of their citizens.
What is a Country worth, if it causes tyranny in the world, however wealthy and advanced it may be? What is a country worth, if it talks about fighting corruption and healing the wounds of the people, its citizens are corrupt from within itself?
My humble prayer here talks about a utopian country from the eyes of a humble citizen, free from all sorts of unpleasant things that prevail in our daily lives. This prayer may be grammatically incorrect in various ways and in various portions, but my intentions are solely humble and positive− to make people rise and realize the goodness in life.
Dear readers and God, please forgive all my mistakes as far as possible. I’m not preaching, but I hope you all will connect with my ideas very well and it would strike a chord with your lives.

Dear God,
I have always wished for a country where good flourishes all around me. A country where every citizen thinks for others before himself. A country where people work in harmony and peace with each other. A country where every individual is ready to give himself up for the good of the country when the need arises. A country where every individual lives with self-respect and respects his brother citizens. A country where every citizen thinks of his country as a nation to be proud of.
God, I pray to you to gift us with a country that does not indulge in any action that is detrimental to our pride. A country where there is no poverty and no suffering due to illness or loss of loved ones. A country where people live to be remembered long after they are gone. A country where its citizens own up their mistakes and are responsible in their duties. A country where people are not physically challenged and limited in their abilities by physical disabilities or mental illness.
God, I pray to you to gift us with a nation where values such as honesty, responsibility, truthfulness and humbleness are considered above all other priorities in life. A nation where people work with a clear conscience, a free mind and an open heart, trying their level best in every field. I wish of a world where nature and humans live in harmony with each other. Such a beautiful country can only be dreamt of in dreams, but your being the Almighty does not raise a single doubt that challenges the possibility of such dreams turning to reality.
As it is, I earnestly pray to you from the depth of my heart to change this humble dream into true reality. Even if a portion of my dream does turn into true reality, my country would be a better place to live in, with good all around and happiness spread far and wide. Yours affectionately,Yashraj
