Eventually, we hope to do all reviews as video reviews (with written transcripts which will appear on sites like Amazon/Barnes&Noble/Goodreads/Shelfari, etc...

But please understand that because preparing a video review, while it makes the review much more accessible to folks no matter where they are (sitting in their car, riding the train, chilling out at the Tastee-Freeze, etc...) it also takes a lot more time to prepare.

If you've been visiting this site for a while now, you know that the reviews done here are unlike reviews done at other sites where there isn't really a set standard for 'grading' books. This is an intense review process with strict guidelines - the kind of review intended to be read by folks who are avid readers and who are looking for quality books to purchase.

And when you factor together the understanding that the video reviews take a bit longer to prepare and that the actual review rubric is quite detailed therefore requiring a lot of time not only for the reviewer but also for the person putting everything together - we hope you'll understand that The MBR is going to have to start being much more selective in the titles it chooses to review. In the end - The goal of The MBR is to offer uniquely detailed reviews for MANY genres (utilizing an entirely new site that is in the works) that will (hopefully eventually all) be in video format including video interviews (which is still a hurdle we have to cross!).
