7 Things I Wish I knew Before I started Blogging | GEET SINGH

Hey! Bloggers/Aspiring Bloggers, this post is completely dedicated to all of you out there who just started a new blog or are planning to start one.

Because I did everything on my own, from the scratch, the logo designing, header designing and template selection to the type of content I wanted to write somewhere along the way I realized a lot of the content was not relatable or was not informative enough and I kinda wasted a lot of time realising that which wasn't useful, but without rambling anymore let's get into the post where I will share these 7 things which I wish I knew before I started Blogging.

# Share from the heart: doing what everyone is doing will not outshine others: creating content that you really trust is important, sharing unique content every single time is difficult but giving every post a touch of your own is what you have to work towards.

# Its important to say NO: every successful blogger out there denied a lot of opportunities that come there way and believe it or not it's important, you don't want to provide your service until you get the right deal for it, people will try to lure you for more exposure but don't fall for the spam. I wish there was someone to tell me that before.

# Take risks, push boundaries: finding a niche is not easy, I wouldn't say it's the last thing you would want to stick to but if you want to really find your niche, you gotta take a risk, see what your readers enjoy and then move in the same direction.

# Be professional: in the beginning, the number of followers you have won't matter, you will get the right opportunity in the right time but once you get it don't mess up, I have heard from a lot of PR people that some bloggers can be really rude. Honestly if you feel the opportunity is right just take and give your 100%.

# Being consistent: I am not the best example for this but once you feel your blog is your business you have to be consistent, you have to let your readers know when they can expect a new piece of content and you have to stand by it.

# Shameless promoting: letting people know about your blog brings no harm and I wish I knew this before, I wasted 3 years of blogging not knowing this basic Mantra, but you can use your social media platforms to reach out to people, and also make some blogger friends, which is as important as promoting.

# You can't make everyone happy: coming to the haters, can't let them out huh, well you always have to understand that there will be people with different perception about a certain thing and some of them can be rude but you have to concentrate on the people who send positive vibes your way.

That's all for this post, I hope these things are useful for all the newbie bloggers out there and to the ones planning to start a blog of their own.

Until Next Time, EAT.SLEEP.BLOG.REPEAT!
