Disclaimer: these are notes made from an online conference I attended
Romans 8:19“Everything that God made is waiting with excitement for the time when God will show the world who his children are. The whole world wants very much for that to happen.”
The difference between having an idea is doing the idea
As long as you’re not intrested in the world you won’t find anything to change
Be interested rather than interesting
Don’t just speak it, do it
An example of innovation is that 5500 years ago someone got on a horse and from there transportation came forth
Don’t strive in the flesh but rather drive in the spirit
You have to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
Key characteristics of a innovativer
- They are creators
- They are fearless
Philipians 4:8 “Brothers, continue to think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.”
Garry stockweather quote about God
Issac Newton quote about gravity
Ideas come from
- The promtings of the Holy Spirit
- Your own personal experience
- The experience of other people
5 key steps to build a successful enterprise
- Identifying a need
- Procceding to solve it
- Going out and speaking to the people you want to solve the problem for
- Going out and doing it
- Staying on course
John 7:38 “If a person believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from his heart. This is what the Scripture says.”
No matter what you have or see the Holy Spirit is all you need
Dont look at the people who you think are successful, what you produce from the Holy Spirit will be more successful
The gospel will be heavily reliable on technology
Innovation is the introduction of a new way of doing things
God wants us to be innovative and solve problems in our generation
Daniel 1:17 “God gave these four men Wisdom and the ability to learn. They learned many kinds of things people had written and studied. Daniel could also understand all kinds of visions and dreams.”
Daniel 1:20 “Every time the king asked them about something important, they showed much wisdom and understanding. He found they were ten times better than all the fortune-tellers and magicians in his kingdom.”
Daniel 5:12 “The man I am talking about is named Daniel. The king gave him the name Belteshazzar. He was very wise, and he had knowledge and understanding. He could explain dreams and secrets. He could answer very hard problems. Call for Daniel. He will tell you what the writing on the wall means.”
1 kings 4:30 “His wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men in the East. And his wisdom was greater than all the wisdom of the men in Egypt.”
You have to say it before you make it
Hebrews 11:3 “It is by faith we understand that the whole world was made by God’s command. This means that what we see was made by something that cannot be seen.”
Psalms 82:6 “I said, ‘You are gods. You are all sons of the Most High God.’”
Romans 4:17 “As it is written in the Scriptures: “I am making you a father of many nations.” This is true before God. Abraham believed in God—the God who gives life to the dead and decides that things will happen that have not yet happened.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “If anyone belongs to Christ, then he is made new. The old things have gone; everything is made new!”
The are different levels of innovation
Level 1 is incremental innovation
Level 2 is Breakthrough innovation
Level 3 is Transfromational innovation
Level 4 is God-class innovation
Exodus 36:1 “So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person will do the work the Lord has commanded. The Lord gave these people the wisdom and understanding to do all the skilled work needed to build the Holy”
Ephissans 4:20 “But the things you learned in Christ were not like this.”
2 Peter 3:12 “You should wait for the day of God and look forward to its coming. When that day comes, the skies will be destroyed with fire, and everything in the skies will melt with heat.”
