The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual extravaganza where companies unveil exciting hew technologies - and that includes our furry best friends. Technology is going to the dogs, cats and other pets as high-end gadgetry were showcases at the said event. This offered was in which smart devices can help improve the lives of animals and their owners.

Here's a look at some of the best pet-friendly tech unveiled at CES:

Sony Aibo Robot Dog



Last year's revive of this robodog was a success despite the hefty price tag. So this year, Sony is yet again aimed at getting these dogs into our homes. So, if you're thinking about getting a dog but isn't quite ready yet, prepare to shell out $1700 plus a monthly subscription.

So what's in store for this expensive robot dog? The dog has a ton of technology built in. This adorable pup has artificial intelligence, sensors, speaker, microphone and cameras and wireless capabilities. This cute little pup can do most things that a dog can do like bark, sit, wag, respond to voice commands, play games, etc. There are multiple touch zones and microphone to pick up voice commands.

Pet Cube is an interactive pet camera that lt owners talk to and play with their furry friends even when they are away from home. Pet Cube is a pet detection technology that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to recognize pet triggers, pet selfies (yes, eventually this is inevitable.) and initiate two-way video calls.

An upgrade to the Pet Cube will allow the pets to phone their owners, send selfie videos, and clips that are made instantly shareable. Pet Cube can recognize pets to humans thanks to machine learning.

Actijoy Pet Tracking System



The problem when you leave your pet at home with food for the day is that it often eat more than what it needs. They don't track their eating habits; thereby making them overweight. Actijoy solves this problem by helping your pet figure out how often do they need to feed and how much do they need. Actijoy Pet Tracking System is an activity tracker connected to the dog's food dish. The system uses scales to measure food and water intake and it also keeps track of your pet's water.
