2. Marundeeswarar Temple
Marundeeswarar Temple is a Shiva temple located in Tiruvanmiyur. Lord Shiva is praised as God of Medicines. The temple was build in back 7th – 8th century by the Chola Kingdom. The place is worshiped by people with the disease and all who face various health issues. The devotees are given prasadam, made our ash, water, and milk. It is believed that it cures all the ailments of the individual. The temple remains open from 9am to 8 pm. There is no entry fee.

3. MGR Film City
MGR Film City was built in the year 1944 as a beautiful structure in the loving memory of the beloved actor and leader MG Ramachandran. The place is located at Taramani and covers approximately 70 acres of land. It is an very popular tourist hub to catch a glimpse of a popular Tamil actor and directors. There is a film school, indoor and outdoor shooting location, a real-life replica of the village and urban areas, divine places, post office, police station, prison, gardens etc where Kollywood shoots take place.

4. Arignar Anna Zoological Park
It is a prominent picnic spot in Vandalur and loved by kids. it is a beautiful place where you can discover lots of flora and fauna. The zoo is located at a distance of 32 km from Chennai and is one of the largest zoos in entire South East Asia. The place is a hub for different species of animals like brown bear, lion, tiger, elephant, king cobra, python, viper.There is also a little Jurassic part which kids love. Apart from that kid can take joyful Elephant rides.

5. Valluvar Kottam
Valluvar Kottam is magnificent temple chariot like-monument which is built to honor Thiruvalluvar, he is a famous classical Tamil poet and saint. Thiruvalluvar is the creator Thirukkurals, it is one of the best works of Tamil literature.Valluvar Kottam is famous for its architecture, creative layouts and a perfect destination to click pictures.

1. avoid visiting the place during noon, the temperature can make the experience worst.
2. The best time to visit Valluvar Kottam is during evening and morning hours, preferably before 10 am.
