MIUI 9 global Stable Rom is continuously hitting to more Xiaomi devices. After Redmi Note 3, Redmi 1S, Redmi 3S, and 3S Prime, company has now started rolling out the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for Mi 4i smartphone. The news was confirmed on company’s official MIUI forum. Xiaomi Mi 4i was launched in India back in 2015 and is running on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0.

The MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for Mi 4i is about 299MB in size and it carries MIUI 9.2.2.0.LXIMIEK. It is still based on Android 5.0 Lollipop so users will not be able to enjoy few features like Split Screen, Quick Switch, and New Notification Shade that MIUI 9 brings.
The update doesn’t bring any major features but it is certainly refreshing and should make the phone smoother than ever as MIUI 9 is focused towards optimization. Also, the MIUI 9 Stable ROM for Mi 4i doesn’t come with the latest security patch, it is running January 2017 security patch.
The MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for Mi 4i brings a host of improvements and bug fixes. The update brings improved layout and readability search results in Contacts, improved battery usage feature and better blocklist rules with separated rules for each SIM card. Other improvements include new Gallery app, Calendar Cards, App Vault, fresh UI changes, Mi Video App, search for apps in the settings of the dual app, Mi Drop app, Mi Mover app, new app vault features, improved notification.
