You get paid pennies when they click, but then if they make a purchase, you likely will make more. Depending on if those sites have cookies or not, you could make money on purchases that are made after that original visit as well.
Products – If you have a product that you are selling, you can make passive income through it, as you only need to create it once and then you can sell it multiple times.
Archive – One of the great things about blogging is that the old blog posts stay in the archives, and search engines keep them indexed. Therefore, someone may find your post a year later, and click on whatever you referenced in the post, and you earn money as a result.
Current – While the content itself does not make you money, it is important that you keep your blog current and relevant. If you do not post anything for a few months, people may not trust your site and move elsewhere to make their purchase. Even a few posts a month is enough to keep your blog current.
