The stage was ready for an all-party Meeting in Tamil Nadu on Thursday (22-Feb-2018) over the very Supreme Court’s verdict on the Cauvery water sharing dispute. Representatives of 30 political parties and 14 farmers’ associations have attended the meeting in Namakkal Kavignar Maligai at Fort St George in Chennai.

Kamaraj, O.S. Manian and R. Doraikkannu (Ministers from Cauvery Delta Region) welcomed all the party leaders in the meeting. BJP State President Tamilisai, TamilNadu Congress Committee President Su. Thirunavukkarasar has participated in the meeting. The DMK was represented by MK. Stalin and Durai Murugan. CPI, CPM, VCK, IUML and Naam Thamizher party have also attended the meeting. This meeting was conducted by TamilNadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswamy.

Last week, The Supreme Court in its verdict had reduced the Cauvery water share for Tamil Nadu by about 14 TMC ft. All the people and politicians were disappointed about SC’s verdict. So, all the politicians were planned for this meeting on Sunday.

In this meeting, the speech was started by TamilNadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswamy. After all the discussions, all the parties and associations were decided to file a review petition against the Apex Court’s verdict. This decision was taken by The TamilNadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswamy. And he said He will bring back the Cauvery water to TamilNadu.
