Indian Startup Creates its Own AR Headset AjnaLens

Indian Startup Creates its Own AR Headset AjnaLens, Indian Startup Dimension Nxg founded by three Indians has developed India’s first home-grown augmented reality (AR) Headset ‘AjnaLens.’ The technology has raised an unrevealed amount in angel investment from various investors including Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Japan Vyas an early investor in Paytm and managing partner at Sixth Sense Ventures, Chetan Kajaria; JMD at Kajaria Ceramics, Abhishek Tomar; Chief Technology Officer at the venture and other.

On the software front, AjnaLens offers a high-resolution 3D computer vision solution implant in real environments through a holographic display that floats mid-air.  This headset has already achieved lots of applause and accolades, one of them is the Graham Bell Innovation Award and let users experience and interact with the holograms using the firm’s hardware product.

Through holographic visuals in headset users can steer around the holograms and can interact with the AR objects through air trap gestures, voice commands, and gaze controls. For example, with gaze control, users will need to navigate inside the surface by just looking at numerous UI elements, also users can interact with virtual things and can modify their size just by tweaking at the edges to the desired levels.

Founded in 2014, the startup Dimension NXG was emerged by three of its co-founders Abhijit Patil, Pankaj Raut, and Gaurav Godbole met at the session of Google Startup Weekend at IIT Bombay and get specializes in in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, and AR. The team working on the AR headset is ensuring that the product will be a mix of software and hardware and that the AR objects will not merely remain cartoon figures instead they will get a blend with the environments by using ambient light shades. As AjnaLens is expected to achieve, so the headset will use some really potent hardware and it will take some time to make it to the hands of users.
