A Sick Marriage will lead to a sick family; a sick family will lead to a sick society, a sick Church, community, and nation; a nation is as healthy as the marriages and families in it. The family is the very foundational pillar we are born into; that is where the journey for learning worthy values, virtues begins and our parents are our first teachers and instructors. Simply put, the home is our first school. Once you are born into a structure of a sick marriage and family –– you are a sick person, except you are born again and accept responsibility to relay the foundation, there is no way things can be right.

It is the will of God for us to build fantastic marriages and glorious homes leading to peace in our society and Churches, because He is the originator of the Institute of marriage, as clearly seen in today’s scripture. Everybody desires a great home, but many are not building it because they don’t know that fundamentally, a good marriage is not a feeling, it is responsibility; you don’t feel yourself into a great marriage, you build it; you don’t wish a great family, it is sacrificially and patiently built, therefore, the journey begins with accepting responsibility to build a great marriage, because wishes and feelings are not enough.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for today’s devotional, bringing to my knowledge the truth that feelings and wishes don’t guarantee a great marriage and that responsibility does; I this day increase my responsibility in building my home knowing that your grace is sufficient for me, in Jesus’ Name!
