Relationships are tough, stressful and demanding, especially long Distance relationships. You've got to tolerate more, communicate more and trust more.
A lot of people believe that long-distance relationships never really work out. Just go on and ask your family and your friends. You'd find out that majority of them discourage it.
However,
long-distance relationships work out too, just like some close relationships.
I recently asked a group on facebook about this topic and I've read some testimonies about its success.
It may be tough but it sure as hell works.
To keep sparks alive and the going here are some tips to make your long-distance relationship last.

1.COMMUNICATION
In the screenshots above, most of the comments agree on one thing, "Communication".
Remember how often you two talked while you were close?
Now there has to be an extra dose of that. Talk often on the phone, in letters, and whatever communication means you find.
Social media has made it easier for us to connect with everyone around the globe, utilize it. Go on to try video calls and night calls too before you both sleep.
Never go a day without talking, don't do it.
If your job is too demanding that you can't talk at a particular time, set a schedule that both matches your time.
And when you can't answer, be sure to give a valid reason why you didn't.
Constant communication no matter how minor bridges the gap between you two and helps keeps the other aware and informed of what's going on in your life.
You really don't have to go all serious when you talk, talk about other stuff, minor things that don't really matter.
Like your new neighbor, a movie you just saw or book you're reading.

2. DIRTY TALKING
If your relationship isn't serious or defined, you might want to avoid this.
Sex isn't just a biological need, it's an emotional one too. Since you both are separated by distance bring in some romance into your communication to keep the sparks flaming and alive.
Send each other teasing naughty texts, if you're both serious about each other, you can send each other nudes too.
Please, if you ain't both serious about each other, never, I mean never send your nudes. To avoid being blackmailed in the future when your relationship crashes.
3.BUILD TRUST
Every relationship should be based on trust, if you don't trust em, don't date em.
Avoid situations that will bring your trust to question.
Stay away from your ex.
Yeah, you heard me. If they were that good to be around you shouldn't have left.
Besides, if it is something important, your partner should be informed beforehand to clear all doubts.

4.VISIT OFTEN
Visitation is very important in a long distance relationship. Because after all the time apart, you'll finally meet to enjoy all the little things like cuddling, kissing, etc,
Are these things very special in a long distance relationship because it happens like "once in a full moon"?
So plan visiting calenders, have fun, go to the movies, play games together.
5.HAVE A COMMON GOAL
Define your relationship, this is so important because it will help you both set your goals.
Ask yourselves :
"what about the future"
"how long are we going to be apart?"
"What do we intend to achieve at the end?"
You need answers to all these, so go on and ask yourselves.
You two need to be on the same page and share similar goals. So you'll know that even if you're apart now, you both are still working towards a future that includes one another.
You both cant be in a relationship forever, someday, you will want to settle down and make a family.
And when you do, please invite me to your wedding, please.
