One of my friends recently asked a question . "why should I read book?" . My answer is simple " reading is not an end its a means to an end". I guess he was impressed . but then the problem arise which are the books one should read . Seriously I don't know the answer yet i am trying to share about books which I consider one should read . if you are a social worker professional then you should not miss it .

My first pick is Mein Kamf by Adolf Hitler . even though the author was a tyrant the book is full of Hitler's bitter experience of his life . But for me it is a wonderful literary work whenever I am being confused about the things around me . I will try to consult this book because it is full of manipulations . Hitler twist the facts and create his own argument . But it contains best quotes in the world. If you are a selfish person then this book is for you .

Second is The bible .. not the old one but the New testament. I am not afraid of God , he is like a friend of me . Bible's philosophy is extremist pacifism. Most of the politicians and leader ask us to fight back but Jesus ask us to let him/her strike you until they tired. In the end the person feels s/he is mad to attack a normal person. So it speaks in simple language .

Tao te Ching , I don't know how many of heard about it . Book written by Lao Tze means fools . A book for fools ! no it contains mysticism only selected people can read and understand it . that is not true . If you have patience and experience and also when you confront Existential crisis the you can sit and read .

Zora the Greek is the magnum opus work of Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis. if you feel you miss something . this is a novel about discourse between intellectual and a man of experince . Intelletuals beware you will be killed at the end !

Rules for radicals by Saul Alinsky is a book for NGO leaders and community workers . When a place run by autocratic regiment then this is useful . Several trick to manipulate people . My own experience is this books still relevant. May be you have revolutionary idea but people do not like to take up How can you implement it ? if you feel ike it the book is for you.
