2017

Every new year you get people on that “new year, new me” hype, or people who set  new Years Resolutions hoping that they stick to it, but not really trying to. People often like the idea of trying to change but don’t really want to put in the work to make that change.

I know its not always easy to stick to the targets you’ve set for yourself, but there’s honestly no point in setting these goals if you’re not going to try to be consistent  with it. You don’t want to be one of those people who set new years resolutions only to break them after a couple weeks, so I’ve found that writing my goals down helps to clarify what exactly I want to achieve and allows me to think about how to achieve it.

When it comes to setting resolutions, I think the whole “new year, new me thing” sets you up to fail. The idea that once you enter a new year you suddenly become a different person allows for you to think that you can suddenly change without any form of effort. If you really want to change, the best way to go about it is to set achievable targets that help you achieve your overall goal, because that way you’re less likely to give u along thew way.

A new year brings new chances and opportunities so try to make the best of it. Whatever your new years resolutions are, or whatever you’re trying to achieve this year, the only way to make 2017 your year of real change is to constantly remind yourself of your goal despite the challenges you may face and to remain consistent in all that you do.
