The first Invented Hearing Aids went to public back in the 17th century and they recognize them as “ear trumpets” usually coming from the horns of the animal or sea shells. Because of this, the shape on one end is narrow and the other side is bigger where it permits the sound to come in when a person is listening.
During that time, majority of the uses are partially deaf people and so they were able to create different styles of ear trumpets because the users increase in numbers until the 18th century. According to history, some of the most popular hearing aids many years ago include the Daubeney Trumpet, Reynolds Trumpet and the Townsend Trumpet.
In the year 1800, Frederick C. Rein came up with an idea to start producing ear trumpets for commercial needs. Rein likewise thought about producing other devices such as the speaking tubes and hearing fans to help many needy people before. Based on the shared information online, he also created a special chair for Portuguese King John VI of Portugal in 1819, which has a capacity to transmit the sound directly to the ear of the ailing king.
Since then, many inventors of hearing aids came out and began to produce electronic hearing aid products in the year 1900. They design the products with amplified sound through carbon microphone and battery to function using electricity.
