Laugh out loud with Korean Variety Shows

Disclaimer: I did this weeks ago  before the whole Running Man shitstorm. Now I’m just going to make one appreciation and rant post for the show, and be done with it. Goodbye RunningMan.

It started with my friend suggesting that I watch Bigbang. So I watched one of their guesting in Running Man, and I was hooked ever since. Not to Bigbang unfortunately, but to Running Man and other Korean variety shows instead.

I like that these television shows are so light I don’t really have to think about what they’re saying. It’s just pure fun.

So I’ll write about these Korean variety shows to .

1. Running Man

Naturally, this would be the first one on the list. This show opened my eyes to the world of Korean variety where slapstick are funny, running around in the mud is normal, and mischievous antics are funny.

2. Three Meals a Day (feat Eric, Kyunsang, and Seojin)

This show had me with Eric. I’m a fan of Shinhwa, especially their variety show appearances so it was a treat knowing that Eric will appear in this show.

PS I’m still waiting for Na PD to make a Shinhwa Over Flowers show

3. Ask Us Anything/Knowing Bros

Heechul and Kyunghoon are funny AF in this one. Of course, I have to mention Seoguen because he is the ace of this show. Sometimes this show can get loud but I love their banter so I keep on watching it.

4. Please Take Care of My Refrigerator

It’s a cooking show. A funny one at that.

5. Infinite Challenge

I don’t watch this religiously although I find it funny. The members’ chemistry is good as they’ve worked together for a long time. But the key to the longevity of this show is the PD. He’s a genius. Actually, both him and Na PD are great variety show PD.

6. Other variety shows

There’ll be other variety shows that I’ll watch and like in the future.

Bonus (1): Shinhwa variety shows

I already said that I’m a fan of Shinhwa. It started when I first watched them guest in Running Man. These ajusshis are adorbs, and I need a separate post to properly express my fondness for them.

Bonus (2): FT Island

I love them for their rock music so I’ll post about them now and then

Again I’ll update this with links as I write about these variety shows in detail.
