Lately I have been obsessed with everything matte. May it be nail paint or lipsticks, I have been wearing only matte finish ones. Obsessive love is not a healthy one that’s why  I decided to give my matte lipsticks a backseat and try something new. So I picked up the Nyx Simply Red Lip Cream in Leading Lady. My take on the product:

Packaging:

The lip cream comes in a retractable crayon packaging with a transparent lid. The packaging is quiet sturdy and the lid shuts with a click ensuring the product is protected and is easy to travel with. as the crayon is retractable, sharpening is not required and hence there is no product wastage.

Texture:

As the name suggests, the texture is creamy when applied but gradually it dries semi matte. It feels very light and comfortable.

Color:

Leading lady is a lovely berry red color with blue undertones. Its decently pigmented and one swipe gives opaque coverage on the lips. It can survive easily for 4 to 5 hours  with light meals. Even when it fades, it leaves a nice stain on my lips.

I loved the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and now I am in love with the Simply Red Lip Cream. For those who don’t like complete matte lips, this one will be a great buy. To be honest, I didn’t find any negative in this product. Its totally worth the buy. Do give this one a try.
