Five Minute Worries

It's so easy to get caught up in our own little world of Worries that we tend to lose some perspective.
Think about it, you've survived 100% of your worst days. When it comes to the smaller worries in life, like Worrying about what other people think of you, doing a presentation, stressing out over a test, or a boy... these things always always always pass...until another test comes along. There will always be something to stress over, whether it's big or little.
I know how hard it can be, to not allow the little things get to you, but taking the time to hear other people's stories and to be grateful of your own, really helps to put things into perspective. When I am anxious about something I have coming up, I remember to tell myself: "if it won't matter in 5 years, don't spend more than 5 minutes worrying over it". I love this quote because it accepts the fact that worrying is inevitable. A little stress and worrying can spark motivation; but too much can deter it. Let yourself worry, but only for 5 minutes :)
Look into your future self, and remind your present self that this is nothing to stress over. This too shall pass. Always.
