Sophie Turner Hints That “Not all of us” Will Make It To Season 7 of Game of Thrones

Season 6 of Game of Thrones ended with SPOILER ALERT Cersei Lannister becoming Queen and the Mother of Dragons returning to Westeros. Just like with every season finale, fans have to wait ever so patiently for their favorite show to come back. Season 7 will be returning on an unnamed date in the summer of 2017 so, unfortunately, you are going to have a lot of time on your hands. Luckily, though, we still got to see our beloved characters that are actually still alive at the Emmy Awards held this year on September 18th and occasionally, a cast member will give a juicy interview.

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, talked to Variety about what to expect by the Game of Thrones season 7 finale but, of course, didn’t fully disclose what will go down. She stated, “It’s quite sad. It really feels like things are wrapping up and coming to an end… People are hanging around Belfast a bit longer to be around each other and be in each other’s presence… We’ve got one more season…well, not all of us.” In other words, she basically hinted that one of the fan-favorite recurring characters is not going to be in the final season.

See, that is the thing about Game of Thrones. It is the only show where viewers can’t get too attached to any character because there is a really high chance they will be killed soon. Unfortunately, Turner only gave us a teaser so we can’t prepare ourselves for a certain character’s major death. Unlike other shows/movies based on books, we can’t just read to find spoilers because the directors of the show don’t really follow George Martin’s story all that closely.

What we can do is take some wild guesses for who will not be in the 8th and finale Game of Thrones season. Considering Jon Snow already died and then came back to life, I think it is safe to say he won’t be killed again (fingers crossed). Queen Cersei Lannister, however, sits on the throne that everyone wants so it wouldn’t be that surprising if someone comes along and kills her for it. I mean, Dany and her army are coming so you know things are about to go down.

I guess we are just going to have to wait until the summer of 2017 to see who survives and who doesn’t. The HBO show mentioned that season 7 is only going to have 7 episodes so things are going to go down very quickly!
