mevo review

Mevo Review will take you through this amazing HD capable Live Event Camera in detail. This is everything you need to know before you go ahead and buy Mevo live event camera.

As you are probably aware of Facebook launching Live Streaming on its platform in the recent past, Mevo has been granted the exclusive permission to be a standalone device capable of live streaming to Facebook Live.

The camera and its associated iOS App will enable you to Live Stream and Live Edit the video on the fly, which means when you are streaming a concert live and want to edit it live with closeups of the DJ as well as a view of the entire set, then all you need to do is pop open the iOS app and select the DJ in the live view and Mevo will do the rest as you will come to know in this review.

There are three variants of Mevo Camera:

  1. Mevo MV1-01A-WH (White)
  2. Mevo MV1-01A-BL (Black)
  3. Mevo Pro

The Pro version is a bundle of several cool stuff which I will go on to later in this Mevo Review.

How to Edit & Share Live HD Videos on Mevo

The pocket sized Mevo has got its name as a nifty live event camera because it can replace a huge rig setup of 9 Cameras and a Switcher, imagine the savings when compared to having 9 DSLR or other HD Cameras and a costly switcher.

You can edit the Live video on your Apple device running iOS 9 or higher.

The Mevo app when connected via Wifi to Mevo will display either of the following:

  1. Full sensor image.
  2. All virtual angles based on Facial recognition or manual angle placement.

When viewing in Full sensor you can tap and pinch to zoom or drag to pan the video actively.

Another mind blowing feature is the auto pilot video production in Mevo, When you leave the app alone without editing, it will automatically take over the editing and switch the videos based on facial recognition which recognizes which character is speaking and then switching to it.

For sharing, you can connect to your Livestream subscription to stream live. You will need a Wifi connection to stream HD videos or use your iPhones LTE to stream over Wifi hotspot.

You can also upload the video later from the microSD card to your favourite Social Networking site. The USB on the device can be used to copy the files to your computer.
