Donald Trump must be in full party mode, for he has taken to social media to mock Macy’s over the retailer’s recent woes in the Stock market.
As you will remember, Macy’s dumped Trump in the wake of his controversial comments about Mexican immigrants back in June. Trump fired back by urging his followers to boycott the store and days later, reports of thousands of people actually boycotting the store and even cutting up their Macy’s shopping cards in protest surfaced.
The Republican presidential frontrunner soon got busy doing other important, campaign stuff … but on Friday, he apparently took time off to poke fun at Macy’s over their losses at the New York Stock Exchange.
Posting a screenshot of Macy’s dwindling stock on Facebook (below), Trump gloated, ‘Good news, disloyal Macy’s stock is in a total free fall. Don’t shop there for Christmas!’
Macy’s stock closed in the red today but according to market experts, they are doing quite well generally.
