Rooting voids your phone warranty. Proceed only if you know what you’re about to do. It’s your discretion and liability. Tested fully working on current Marshmallow version 1.7. Themed to match the colors of Alcatel Flash 2.
Please do not mirror the link. This took me light years to compile and get running for the Flash 2.
STEPS:
- Download and extract this file to your computer or phone: AF2_MM_TWRP&ROOT.zip.
- Open Smart Phone Flash Tool and load the scatter file provided in the zip file.
- Double click the location for recovery. An Open dialog box will pop up. Choose TWRP.img from the zip file.
- Turn off your phone. Do not connect it to your computer just yet.
- Click the green Download button in the flash tool. Then connect your phone via the USB port.
- Flashing commences. Wait till it says OK. Disconnect phone from the USB port. TWRP is now installed.
- Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.zip to your device’s storage.
- Boot to TWRP by holding the power button + volume up while the phone is off. Choose boot to recovery.
- Enter your password to decrypt your device. Do Swipe to Allow Modifications.
- To root, choose Install and navigate to the folder where you copied the SUPERSU file in Step 7.
- Do Swipe to Confirm Flash.
- Reboot. You're now rooted with TWRP.
