Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin is a Bangladeshi model, actress and TV show presenter. She came into the media through the ‘Lux – Channel I Superstar Competition’ and has proved her ability in different branches of performing art like modeling, presentation and acting. She is one of the most talented artists in media at present. She has a talk with Bangladeshi Entertainment about her career and life style. Here is the selected part of that for the readers.

Bangladeshi Entertainment: How is everything going on? What are you doing now?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: I’m running fine and passing busy days in work. I am managing my time for the media work beside studies and hoping that I will be able to engage fully in here after completion of my studies. 

Bangladeshi Entertainment: Where are you studying now?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: I’m studying fashion designing in INIST. 

Bangladeshi Entertainment: Tell us about the initial stage of your career in media?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: Actually, I did not have any particular intention to work in the media. I participated in the Lux Channel I Superstar in mere interest in 2007 and reached in the list of top ten. Thus I came to join in the media. 

Bangladeshi Entertainment: Which was the turning point of your career?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: The advertisement in which I characterized a newly married bride was the turning point of my career. Afterwards a commercial of ‘Boshundhara Abashik Prokolpo’ also created new dimension in my career.

Bangladeshi Entertainment: What are you doing now?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: I’m presenting some of the programs such as Cine Bits, RTV Live talk show, ‘Thik bolchen to’ ‘Eat zone’ etc. some of my television commercials are yet to be telecasted; these are – ‘Kai Aluminium’, ‘Baby love Diapar’, ‘Bangla link advance balance TVC, Shajeeb Cornflex etc. There are some other advertisements are on the way also. I am not acting that much right now. Two of my dramas titled ‘Ei shohore’ and ‘Bebodhan’ is going to be telecasted in ATN Bangla and RTV respectively. Actually I am not that much interested about acting in dramas but has performed in some of them on request. 

Bangladeshi Entertainment: In which position do you want to see yourself after five years?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: I want to build myself as an established businesswoman and become a popular television presenter.

Bangladeshi Entertainment: Do you have any intention to appear in the films?

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: I have found some good offers to act in the films after I joined in the media. I have also intense interest to be a film actress but none of my family members are agreed upon the matter. So right now I cannot do that; perhaps will think of it in the future.

Bangladeshi Entertainment: Tell us some of your secrets.

Ambrina Sarjeen Ambrin: Spectators may come to know much information about me through print and electronic media but I think no one knows that I was born in Tripoli, Libiya and came to Bangladesh with my parents when I was ten. My father is Bangali and mother is Sri Lankan. They met and got married in Libiya.
