On July 6, 2002, Hasselbeck married her college boyfriend, former professional football quarterback Tim Hasselbeck. They have a daughter, Grace Elisabeth Born in 2005, and two sons, Taylor born in 2007, and Isaiah born in 2009.Hasselbeck is a supporter of Breast Cancer awareness initiatives in the form of an internet-only PSA on breast cancer diagnosis.
Hasselbeck is living with celiac disease. She has written a book on the subject, The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide, which has appeared on several best-seller lists. On June 23, 2009, a lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Massachusetts alleging that her book was plagiarized from a self-published book by Susan Hasset. Hasselbeck released a statement calling the allegations baseless. The lawsuit was dismissed in November 2009 when the plaintiff's lawyer declined to pursue it, saying to the press that he believed some degree of plagiarism occurred, but it was not sufficient to justify monetary damages.The View, recipient of the 2003 Daytime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Talk Show,” is the original forum where real women discuss relevant, everyday issues and share their daily, no-holds-barred opinions and lively, colorful conversations. The program premiered in August 1997, and is broadcast live weekdays from New York City. In August 2009, The View hosts received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host. It was the first time in the 36 year history of NATAS that multiple talk show hosts received this honor.She is the author of the New York Times best seller, The G-Free Diet. As a woman with Celiac Disease, Elisabeth has committed herself to raising awareness about the autoimmune disease, and works closely with the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University. Providing powerful gluten-free nutrition and a healthy lifestyle is top priority in her current product design endeavors, as she has created a line of snack and protein bars for the entire family under the brand NOGII, and works with Cinsay and Proform.com to develop and promote fitness gear such as the AB GLIDER.
