San Juan, PR

This post is coming very late, but I will catch everyone up on my life in the next post.

The hubby and I booked our trip to San Juan, PR in August.  Our flight was Phoenix to NYC to San Juan.  We arrived to a very rainy Puerto Rico and the weather report did not look favorable.  However, we decided to make the most of it while we were there.

First we got a taxi from the airport to our hotel in old San Juan, the taxi ride was around $20 and seems to work with the tourism bureau of Puerto Rico, which works in a way because the prices are pretty consistent.  We ended up booking Hotel El Convento.

The hotel was pretty nice and everyone there was accommodating.  I would highly recommend this hotel.  The only drawback is that it is located in Old San Juan, which is a $15 to $20 taxi ride to the beaches (close to the airport).  However, the do offer access to two hotels in the beach are, La Concha and Isla Verde Beach Resort.  We decided to go to Isle Verde Beach Resort on the second day, which is located on Isla Verde Beach.
The weather was prefect while we were there, so we spent some time soaking up the sun and people watching.  After a few hours it started to rain so we took a cab to the hotel and ate dinner at the hotel.  The dinner was pretty amazing. I don't really remember what my husband ordered, but I had lamb.
After that we decided to call it a day.  The next day we went to La Concha Resort, which is a really nice hotel located on Condado beach.  This was our favorite beach, it was really relaxing.
After checking out the beach, we went to the forts that are around Old San Juan.

Overall, San Juan was beautiful.  The beaches were quite and not crowded at all.  The water was prefect, the food was amazing.
