GLASS ATTACK!

Tags: glass

AT LAST! For years I have saved Glass that I broke when framing my paintings..something about certain shapes made me just sling them up into the basket that hung from the upper deck in my studio. I just knew that someday I would want them (the universal artists' defencive credo)! Well here it is....my friend Karen has decided to become a glass artist and has purchased a kiln for that purpose! Yea!... Here is my first attempt at organizing the shards and slivers of glass into some semblance of reality. I used dabs of super glue to hold them together and Karen assures me that they won't show once the piece is fired! Thought I'd share these beginnings, with all the messy fingerprints and glue spots on it, because I have absolutely no idea of what to expect once it's fired! Such fun ! Sorry about the glare. Glass is harder to shoot than paintings!
