Questions ANSWERED!

Some of them, at least.

A packet arrived in the mail Saturday, detailing where I need to be and when, what I need to do before school starts, and for which classes I need to register. According to the Central Planning Committee (bonus points if you get the reference) at the USC School of CNTV, here's what I'll be doing for the next few months:

CTPR 507
Production I - 4 units. A practical exploration of the fundamental technical and aesthetic principles (thanks for spelling that correctly, USC!) of motion picture production, including film expression, criticism, and ethics. Involves individual and group projects. CTPR 507 meets three times a week for a total of eleven hours.

CTPR 510
Concepts of Cinematic Production - 2 units. Overview of the process of making media. Introduces fundamental thinking typical of each craft. Presents realities of careers and ethical issues in media. Once per week, three hours.

CTWR 528
Screenwriting Fundamentals - 2 Units. A writing course which emphasizes the basic principles of screenwriting with special emphasis on story, characterization and dramatization. This course meets once per week for three hours.

There's a mandatory (the boldface type comes from USC) meeting for all incoming grad-type students on January sixth. I wonder what it's going to be more like: first day at a new job? Or USMC boot camp?

I feel nervous and excited and a little bit shy about admitting that I'm nervous and excited. I'd like to pretend that this is all cool and normal and just take it in stride...but I'm nervous and excited about finally following a dream I've had since I was seventeen...
