Magnoliah is a Black femme, fat activist and burlesque performer who lives in Oakland, CA.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto an artist of mixed Pakistani and Lebanese descent and having grown up in Pakistan, Bhutto sees his body caught in the middle of complex identity politics formed by centuries of colonialism and exacerbated by contemporary international politics. In his work he explores the politics of queerness, its intersections with Islam and how it exists in a constant liminal and non-aligned space. Bhutto is also interested in issues of state violence and how that violence resonates in our collective memory, how it forms and shapes communities and by extension how it affects the individual.

Daniel Riddle Rodriguez’s real name is Daniel Riddle Rodriguez. A full-time student and father, he is from San Lorenzo, California, where he lives with his son. He is the author of Low Village (CutBank 2016) and Low Village: Rules of the Game (Nomadic Press 2016). Previous publications include Mid-American Review, Word Riot, Prairie Schooner, Fourteen Hills, and others. He is thrilled to be here.

René Vazquez is a local Bay Area writer. He is the editor in chief of Cipactli Journal, the co-curator for the bilingual reading series Voz sin Tinta, and the curator for Nomadic Press’ Uptown Fridays. He has a Master’s degree in English from San Francisco State University, where he is an MFA candidate in fiction. He is currently working on a book of poems exploring racism, classism, immigration, and police brutality in America.
