I have tried a few OUD or Agarwood fragrances, even trying an Arabian agarwood oil but it just does not suit me. Too old, I guess.
However, Sandalwood is right up my street.
Popped into Liberty and Selfridges over the weekend and had a few sprays.
Creed Original Santal, Guerlain Santal Royal, Bond of New York Sandalwood for starters.
The Bond version is certainly one that I intend to add to my wardrobe. Pure Sandalwood right from the start and extremely long lasting.
I compromised and settled on the Chanel Bleu Parfum. Nice citrus top note warming down to a powdery sandalwood after 30 minutes. Soft, gentle fragrance. Not overpowering. Good for any time of day.
