Richie Rich Mini-maquette exhibit posted!

One of the biggest news items in comics this week was about Stephen A. Geppi donating over 3,000 items from his personal collection to the Library of Congress. This was somewhat sad news to me, because these items had been on display at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum since 2006, but I never got to visit.

One of the many posts about this donation was put on Facebook by the Intelligent Collector magazine. Long-time readers of the Mercheum Blog may recall that Intelligent Collector interviewed me last year, and published the results last fall.

How this all relates to today’s exhibit is that the photo Intelligent Collector used with their post shows Mr. Geppi holding one of Electric Tiki Design‘s Richie Rich Teeny Weeny Mini-maquette figurines. While I dislike how Funko handled making a Richie Rich figurine, or in their case a bobblehead, I absolutely LOVE Electric Tiki’s Richie! In fact, I wrote a post back in 2016 about how I would like a life-sized version of him!
