With titles such as The Hunger Games and Divergent, dystopian teen fiction became insanely popular. Though we are beginning to see a drop-off in the popularity of this genre, novels such as The Rule of One revisit a post-tragedy America. It’s a story that handles several issues and promised to cover a lot of ground within its 258 pages. But after reading the final page, everything felt…unfinished. Unresolved.
Character development was abandoned, world-building was neglected, and questions were left Unanswered.
