President Nana Akufo-Addo said that 79 Factories are on their way to start in the coming year under 1D1F initiative. He was satisfied about the government’s progress regarding the one district, one factory Program.

He was speaking to the 60th anniversary celebration of the AGI in Accra, there are 79 factories to be started soon and more to be initiate soon. Currently more thirty five are undergoing appraisal by the Trade Ministry and the concerned Financial Institutions.

He said, government of Ghana is on course to deliver on all of its promises.

He said, 79 projects have been implemented under the 1D 1F program. More 35 going through credit appraisal by officials of Trade and Industry and the financial institutions that are supporting the program.

While stressing on the industry-focused programs of his government, the president also showed, that some local companies had already started benefiting from the stimulus packages of the Government.

President Akufo-Addo said, we have started implementing initiatives such as the Stimulus Package for distressed companies,  the ‘One Region-One Industrial-Park’ policy, ‘1-District-1-Factory’ program (1D1F), the facilitation of investments into new strategic anchor industries such as automotive and vehicle assembly, textiles, pharmaceuticals, garments, iron ore and manganese resources and the exploitation of our bauxite”.
