Fizza Javed who started her musical career from Pakistan Idol then she gave a successful entry to Pakistan’s leading music program that is Coke Studio and now a days Fizza is working on some new tracks. I caught Fizza even in her busy schedule and had an interesting interview which I am going to publish in this article.

Q: First of all we want to say welcome to you.
Ans: Thank You! I’m overwhelmed and glad to be here.
Q: Who was your inspiration for music?
Ans: My inspiration was so many people like Madam Noor Jehan, Lata Mangeshkar, Farida Khanum, Muhammad Rafi etc. I have been hearing them from quiet a long time probably when I was of four an half years.
Q: What is the name of your debut song?
Ans: The name of my debut song Ve Baneya that featured in Coke studio. Interesting thing of the song was that I wrote that song on paper while I was sitting in coke studio and right after that I made composition as well.
Q: Say something about your musical journey from Pakistan idol to Coke Studio.
Ans: Since I was an idol and was laminated but still I was in top 24 out of 1.5 people who gave audition. I was laminated from piano round. If I talk about my journey from Pakistan’s idol to coke studio was so hard and tough, I was practicing for hours and hours just for improving myself. My competitor was no one else so I worked really hard day and night just to prove that yes I can do it. Yeah it was hard but right after coke studio I had fabulous time.
Q: Who helped you most in your journey?
Ans: My mentor, Ustaad Karam Abbas, who himself featured in coke studio 8 with Mai Dhai, he was my ustaad for two and half years and he belongs to Gwaliyar gharana. And taught me a lot because my background was not from musical family, my father was assistant flight engineer and my mom was gynecologist so that was a big problem for me. For me it was too hard to find someone who can really explain what I wanted in term of music and he was the one who did.
Q: Who gave you pieces of advice?
Ans: Obviously my sister and my mom gave me a lot of advises like to do this do that but yes if talk about professional life and music then my mentor gave me huge advises.

Q: What do you do now a days? Let us know something about your future projects.
Ans: Now a days I am working on my own things besides this I am also working on some local and international project and moreover I will be collaborating locally and internationally very soon.
Q: What is your message to your fans?
Ans: Well message for my fan is that keep listenting good music, it doesn’t matter whether it’s my song or not but if a song is good then you must have to listen and support the artists.
Q: Any message for new artist?
Ans: Music journey is not that easy, just keep working hard, beileive in your self and it’s very important to believe in Allah pak because He is one who kept something very beautiful for you.
