Prince Louis will be Christened July 9th at St. Jame's Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will christen Prince Louis on Monday, July 9 at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace in London.

Kensington Palace announced the date of the christening of the youngest Prince of Cambridge on Wednesday.

The palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London.

The royal couple have previously kept christenings to a “small crowd”, Jess Ilse, editorial assistant at Royal Central told Express.co.uk.

Only 22 guests were invited to Prince George’s christening in 2013, with only senior royals, four members of the Middleton family and the seven godparents and their partners invited to the ceremony, and just 30 were selected to attend Charlotte’s.

So it is likely they will invite a similar number to the christening of Prince Louis, who is being baptised in the same church as Prince George. Read more from EXPRESS.
