Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is the seventeenth entry in the Guilty Gear series and the update title to REVELATOR. REV 2 was first announced during Arc System Works Game Award in January 14, 2017. REV 2 will be released for Japanese arcades on March 30, 2017. The game will released for PS3, PS4, and PC via Steam, with the release date being May 25 in Japan, May 26 in North America and Europe. Players who bought REVELATOR on PS3, PS4 or Steam will only require a paid-REV 2 DLC update patch. The PS4 will also receive an exclusive physical disc version.

REV 2 will contain the same content as in REVELATOR, but includes balance changes, new moves for the entire roster, new Episode story scenes for Jam, Haehyun, Raven and Dizzy, along with Baiken and Answer, and a new After Story, taking place shortly after the main Story on the console and PC versions.
