Today's featured party is Don Carrasino and the Murdered Mobster , with Jo as our Hostess. It seems that "A Jolly Journey to the Joint" was had by all.
"My resolution for 2017 was to get the family together socially more often, so I thought we'd try a Murder Mystery."
Our hostess scanned the character pages and emailed them to each person, that way everyone knew who they were going to be and could put together a costume. All the family members agreed that half the fun was in finding costumes for the party.
Jo and her husband knew what to expect, while some younger relatives were a bit worried they would have to be great actors. Jo wanted to get everyone's feet wet by introducing them to a 30 minute mystery for their first time. Our hostess says that,
"Everyone admitted they had great fun putting their costumes together and got a great laugh out of seeing each other as flappers and mobsters!"
"I have a few shy, introverted relatives and I found that a 30 minute puzzle was a brilliant introduction to the whole murder mystery party scene."
According to our hostess, the thing she enjoyed most was the variety of American accents her Irish family produced. Some were an odd mixture of deep South and the Bronx and others sounded Chinese or Australian!
The menu consisted of cold meats and salads, as they wanted to keep everything low key and casual.
"Playing with Murder is the most comprehensive, easy to follow, package I've found to date. I look forward to downloading and playing the next one!"
Thank you for choosing us Jo, and we look forward to serving you in the future!
