The inauguration of one month ‘Cosmology to Cartography’ held at the National Museum, Janpath today at 5:30 pm. This cultural event is based on the journey of Indian maps.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of Culture, with Shri Narendra Kumar Sinha (Secretary, Ministry of Culture). US Ambassador to India, Richard Rahul Verma was present there as the chief guest.

The exhibition is being regulated collaboratedly by Kalakriti Archives, Hyderabad which has India’s most comprehensive private collection of historic maps.
The event showcases the curations of Dr. Alex Johnson and Dr. Vivek Nanda. The event features all the major stages of modern India. It depicts how the old-age mythological nation evolved to present day scientific India with the help of descriptive maps.
Two out of total 72 maps are the most important and will enable the viewer to look back in the past to the present day situation.
The exhibition will continue till 11th October 2015 and is opened to be visited by anybody with a nominal entrance fee. It will remain open all days except Mondays and public holidays from 10:00 am to 5:oo pm.
