Kevin Hart has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. Hart caught himself in hot water after after Twitter users unearthed old anti-gay tweets from the star comedian. As a result, Hart was removed as the host of this year’s Oscars and has been on a press tour ever since. Luckily, Hart’s latest film, The Upside, did not suffer because of his most recent debacle. Starring alongside Bryan Cranston, Hart managed to bring together the most profitable movie at the box office last weekend. Moving forward, Hart is hoping to put the events of the last six weeks behind him.

In an attempt to move forward, Kevin Hart has landed a star role in the Upcoming Monopoly Inspired film being put together by Lionsgate. Hart is currently in negotiations to finalize his contract and his longtime collaborator, Tim Story, is in talks to direct the film. The synopsis of the film is still under wraps, but most expect the film to be largely inspired by the classic Hasbro game.
