After not finding a landing spot throughout the summer, 28-year-old guard Brandon Jennings will continue with his basketball career outside the United States.

Jennings’ agent, Misko Raznatovic, announced via his Twitter account that Jennings will be playing next season in Russia.

Jennings is reportedly expected to join Russia’s BC Zenit Saint Petersburg club and will play overseas for the second time. Once a top prospect in his high school class, Jennings opted to play professionally overseas in Italy prior to his being drafted in 2009.

In the NBA, Brandon Jennings has played for five different franchises in his rollercoaster nine-year career, including stints with the Milwaukee Bucks twice, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards. The former first-round lottery pick most recently played for Milwaukee this past season, including their first round playoffs series against the Boston Celtics.

However, before his previous stretch with the Bucks, Jennings had remained unsigned for most of the 2017-18 regular season. Though Jennings was once a promising prospect that was capable of providing a significant jolt of energy, his professional career certainly hasn’t lived up to expectations.

Even with Jennings now taking his skill set to Russia, this may not be the end of his career in the NBA. We’ve seen players go overseas for a period and eventually return on more than a few occasions and that may certainly prove to be the case for Jennings who is yet to hit 30 years of age.
