Patrick Beverley Thinks Resting is ‘Bullsh!t’, Says ‘Fans Deserve Better’

In the eyes of some, the Houston Rockets has a ton to prove based off their up and down prior two seasons. 2015 ended in the Western Conference Finals, but 2016 ended early with a first-round elimination. They let Dwight Howard leave town, got rid of two coaches, brought in a couple of three-point marksmen and all appears to be going well. So if you think a team that is currently third in the Western Conference is looking to rest, think again.

With nine games left to play the Rockets are pretty much locked in the third spot after James Harden and Lou Williams led Houston to a Sunday afternoon win over Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Rockets lead the Utah Jazz by seven games and trail the San Antonio Spurs by 5.5 games in the Western Conference standings. They are set, so is it time to rest up and get ready for the playoffs? Patrick Beverley takes a similar stance as his teammate Harden and doesn’t think rest is the answer.

While he doesn’t fill the stat sheet like his MVP candidate teammate, Patrick Beverley is still a vital part of the Rockets, particularly on the defensive end. On Sunday afternoon, Beverley was asked if the Rockets were going to be resting as the regular season comes to a close. He gave a real ‘Patrick Beverley’ type of answer. It’s a recently controversial topic that a mildly controversial player ripped to shreds.
