Swedish Crown Princess Victoria's appearance at Stockholm Fashion Week made international headlines. The Princess praised the Swedish fashion industry at the ribbon cutting ceremony:
" When I travel abroad, people often come up to me to show me that they are wearing Swedish clothes. Not only is Swedish design well-known, it is also extremely popular and in high demand.Princess Victoria follows in the footsteps of Princess Letizia of Spain, who opened Madrid's Fashion Week in 2011 and Princess Mary of Denmark frequently opens Copenhagen Fashion Week.
"For me, Swedish Fashion is a source of great pride.
"Not only because of the international recognition it attracts, but also because of the enhanced respect for sustainability and the environment."
