Dobra muzyka, od razu przypadła mi do gustu, przyjemnie wprowadza w nastrój filmu. Matthau mieszka w zapuszczonym mieszkaniu, zalega z alimentami i gra z kumplami w pokera. Podczas jednego ze spotkań okazuje się, że ich znajomy, zrozpaczony wizją rozwodu, wyszedł z domu i chce się zabić. Niedoszły samobójca zjawia się wkrótce i zaczyna się zabawa.
Film jest śmieszny. Dialogi są naprawdę dobre. Matthau i Lemmon tworzą świetną parę. Jeden jest niechlujny, drugi to neurotyk dbający o czystość. To oczywiste, że nie są w stanie ze sobą wytrzymać.
Podobało mi się też to, że film nie ma nachalnego zakończenia.

Quite nice music, it's introducing the story's mood well. Matthau lives in his dirty apartment, playing poker with his buddies. At one of those meetings, it turns out that their friend, despaired about divorce, left his house with intention to kill himself. Would-be suicide soon arrives and the fun begins.
The movie is funny. Dialogues are really good. Matthau and Lemmon make a great couple. One is messy, the other is neurotic and furious about cleaning. It is obvious that they are unable to live together.
I also liked that the film doesn't have insolent finish.
