That was then, and this is now...

It has been a long time indeed since I have Posted to this blog.  Occasionally I still want to publish a bit from what I've flushed out in daily writings, especially in response to movies, books, travel, and arts events.  Oh, and of pets, the royal felines, Mabel and Ady of course!  So, here goes, after several years--a blog renaissance.

Mabel, Her Excellency and Queen of my Heart, known around the Castle of my Soul for her symmetry of markings and well balanced disposition.  At ten, she is strong, walks with a bit of a swagger, and is still for the most part an accurate jumper.  She favors high tiers, and boxes in bookshelves and window sills, but can also be found lying on the bed. Nightly she sings, fetches her favorite things—curly ribbon, feathers, hairbands on strings—which I find rearranged mornings.

Ady recently made an appearance on "30 Cats in 30 Days" as Ms. Saint Patrick's Day.  We were tickled to view the portrait of Ady painted by Kat Corrigan from the photo posted here at Blogawry. While Mabel had been on the roster for the painting, the artist chose Ady last minute for her impishness so suitable to the Irish holiday.  And capture her as a kitten we think she did.  In the last several years, frenetic little Ady has blossomed into a truly soulful cat without forfeiting the mischievousness that always made her a little star in my blog.
