Social Dancing Is All About Co-Ordination

Dancing is the rhythmic physical movements of the body which completely relates to the co-ordination within oneself or among two partners who are dancing in tandem. Dancing in today’s world s is more than just the display of art and culture and is witnessed more as a social norm.

If you cannot perform a dance move then, there is nothing to be discouraged at your inability. You must be knowing that no one is a born genius but rather nurture the talents. So you can learn and develop dancing skills at any moment.

The social dancing which is more prominent these days require the right balance, co-ordination and rhythm with a fixed partner or even different partners. These are not in born qualities that you have or need to possess but rather develop with practice or determination. Even your partner can be your guide and may help you out with the proper development of the various moves.

The various forms of social dancing comprise the Tango dance, Salsa dance, Ballroom dance, Carolina dance, occasional Hip hop dance, Rumba dance, Bolero dance, Pagode dance, Polka dance, Waltz, Mambo dance and many other such dance forms that have originated in the West, America and other regions.

You got to be active in the party, be with friends. If you are all alone sitting in a corner of the room and then all of a sudden you approach for a dance, the answer in all probability will be ‘no’. Make sure you tell your partner that you have enjoyed the dance with her and if possible escort her to her home. When you have a partner with you it is important to know how to dance with her, so that not only you feel good dancing to the tune of the music being played but also make her feel comfortable with you! Don’t be nervous. Listen if she has something to say.

You can even offer her a drink to make her happy. A compliment may also be rewarding! Now if she says declines your offer, then do not show that you are hurt in front of her. Just say “Ok, Alright!” or “Its fine”, but this is very rare. Generally in parties everyone is ready to enjoy every moment and interact with other people, make new friends and have a fun time.

In many cases the dancing with a partner might be helpful as your dance partner might act as the leading partner displaying the superior moves and directing you in your moves all throughout. In these cases the superior partner demonstrates the dance moves along with some gracious physical touches that aid in your understanding of the possible next move and thus perform accordingly. The Ballroom dancing, Salsa dance and many other forms form a part of these gestures.

Lastly most of these social dance forms that involve dance partners follow a set of globally recognized rules or customs. These set of rules even provide the freedom of dancing with numerous partners in the various social dancing forms.
