Cairo airport receives international air safety award

Majdi Ishaq, President of Cairo Air Port Company, received the Air Safety Award after Cairo Airport received the first position in aviation safety in the African continent.

This came on the sidelines of the annual general assembly of the International Council of Airports of Africa in Mauritius, which resulted in Egypt being ranked first in Africa in total air traffic and second in total passenger traffic.

Eng. Mohamed Said Mahrous, President of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, said that this award was the culmination of the continuous efforts exerted by Cairo airport in the field of security and safety in particular, adding that the security and safety of Egyptian airports is at the top of our attention in the current period.

Issac had left yesterday for Mauritius to receive the Air Safety Award as the best airport to improve safety measures on the African continent as part of the World Airports Council's events held there.
