Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services.

Giorgio is a family-owned bakery that creates premium, handcrafted biscotti and the most sophisticated gourmet cookies, baked fresh with the finest ingredients to provide a decadent experience with each bite.

Our artisan baked goods are sought after by coffeehouse owners nationwide, companies seeking gifts for clients, customers purchasing for special occasions, and specialty companies curating high-end gift baskets. The fresh baked, small batches are directly shipped from the smalltown Ohio headquarters since 2012.

Our signature White Chocolate Raspberry cookie, for example, is like none you have ever tasted and is what put Giorgio Cookie Company on the map! Its delicate butter cookie base is filled with a European raspberry filling, partially dipped in the finest Belgian white chocolate, hand drizzled in rich, dark Belgian chocolate and lightly dusted with premium powdered sugar for the perfect combination of flavors. When I tasted this cookie for the first time, I remember exactly where I was, and mid bite I knew it would be a success.

The best selling biscotti is by far the Salted Caramel. Unlike traditional biscotti that are overly crisp, Giorgio’s biscotti offers a softer texture but still perfect for dunking in coffee/tea/wine.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.

Our mission is to add to the goodness of people’s lives by providing the most delicious, sophisticated cookie collection and premium biscotti line using the finest, natural ingredients.

We support local. An Ohio manufacturer provides our beautiful glass jars that we use to merchandise our biscotti for coffee shops and gift giving. Another local wholesaler delivers other specialty ingredients and hundreds of locally owned coffee shops nationwide order our biscotti month after month. We’re rooted in Ohio, and have a lot of pride for Made in the USA. We value quality!

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

I’m excited to leverage as many member benefits as possible. A priority is attending chamber events to meet other business owners; I welcome opportunities to partner with other businesses. With Columbus having so many key companies headquartered here, I’m excited to learn what their needs are and how Giorgio could be of value to their employees and customers.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

I’m active in many groups where trends are discussed, I attend industry specific events and conferences, and of course scour related periodicals, podcasts, and whatever I can get my hands on. I’m definitely a life long learner with a passion for innovating and staying relevant, which is also why I look forward to partnering with other businesses to create new products or services.

What is your company culture like?

We love to have fun and we love to laugh; at the end of the day, cookies are fun!

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

We gravitate toward employees who have a strong work ethic, love cookies and take pride in what they do; it truly shows in each cookie they create.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

I LOVE Columbus! It’s ranked in the top 5 for entrepreneurs and startups which comes as no surprise to me. When I graduated from the The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, I knew I wanted to do business here.
